Summer Time

Well I know it has been awhile but I'm lazy and leave pictures on my camera for as long as I can before I transfer them to the computer.



Here are a few pictures from Rivers Pre-K Graduation. He got all the awards but the teacher was able to present him with three. We will miss Mrs. Karen. Both Scout and Rivers had her as a teacher.

Here are pictures from our trip to Tybee Island and Savannah. It was fun. We didnt want to leave. If only there was a way to leave the sand on the beach.

Goings on as of late

So I've been meaning to update this thing but keep forgetting to put the pictures on the computer.

We have some awesome pictures from the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. The last time Jeff and I went was when we or dating or just married. We saw the reptiles which was cool. This time we went to see the dinosaurs exhibit for Scouts birthday (he's 7!) and ended up spending 4 hours there. It was really cool. They also had this other exhibit that had some really cool sensory things in it. Mom and dad came with us and I think had just as much fun. We saw a movie at the IMAX theatre there. It was horrible and made me nauseous. Mom and I had to both keep looking away at times. But the boys really liked it. Rivers's favorite dinosaur is the Stegosaurus which he calls degosaurus for some reason. I think Scout's favorite is the Ankylosaurus which he kept calling a wrinklysaurus and it took me a long time to figure out what he was talking about. Of course they both loved the T-Rex. I will get pictures up Monday hopefully.

Talon officially starts nursery on sunday! I'm so excited! I can actually enjoy sunday school again and he might actually be good during sacrament meeting. Hopefully. He still doesnt say a whole lot that can be understood. I think he just tries to talk fast like everyone else so saying just one or two words at a time is not enough for him. he will say shoe then point at the door and say something that sounds like outside and then a bunch of jibberish. Its cute and frustrating because if I cant figure out what he says fast enough he will scream and hit or throw.

Scout just got done with the SAGE testing. The sage teacher said he was doing very well and was the smartest one they were testing. We should find out for sure if he makes it in next week but she said she is 99.9% sure he will. (SAGE = gifted education program)

Rivers is in pre-K and his teacher told jeff that he is one of three that they are going to start teaching to read. He brought home a little book yesterday and read it to me like 4 times. It was cute and he is so proud of himself. And we are very proud of him.

Superbowl 2009

Jeff's Camping Excursion

Yes Jeff went camping during the coldest weekend of the year. He caught one little trout, had a bear pass through the camp and it snowed.
